Sri Lanka A Journey Awaits

Today we're road-tripping through Sri Lanka's stunning Hill Country! Our journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya is chock-full of must-see spots. First up, prepare for jaw-dropping views at Ramboda Falls, one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful waterfalls. Instagram opportunity alert! Then we'll dive into Ceylon tea heaven, touring a working tea factory where you'll learn the art of tea-making and sip the freshest cuppa you've ever had. As we climb higher, we'll stop at the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Nuwara Eliya. Find your zen at this peaceful hilltop spot before we head to the Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Flower lovers, you're in for a treat with its incredible collection of orchids, roses, and exotic plants. Our final stop is the Sita Amman Temple, an important site linked to the Hindu epic Ramayana – history buffs and mythology fans, this one's for you! By day's end, you'll be nestled in the charming "Little England" of Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by misty mountains and colonial vibes. Get ready for cool air and hot tea as you unwind from an epic day of exploration.

Wake up to the sound of waves and dig into a delicious breakfast. Then, get ready for some serious "aww" moments at a local Turtle Hatchery. You'll see newly hatched baby turtles and learn about conservation efforts to protect these endangered cuties.

Transfer to Colombo. Start your city tour with a visit to Independence Square, a historic landmark commemorating Sri Lanka's independence from British rule in 1948. Next, explore the World Trade Centre, one of the tallest buildings in the country, symbolizing Colombo's modern progress. Stroll through Galle Face Green, a seaside promenade perfect for enjoying the sunset and local street food. Visit Viharamahadevi Park, the city's largest and oldest park, known for its lush greenery and iconic Buddha statue. Lastly, pass by the Old Parliament Building, a stunning example of neoclassical architecture that once housed the country’s legislature. After a day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Colombo.

It's your last day in paradise, but the fun's not over yet! After breakfast, we're heading to vibrant Colombo. The city's yours to explore at your own pace. Maybe you want to hit up some markets for last-minute souvenirs, check out the National Museum, or just chill at Galle Face Green with some street food. When it's time to head home, we'll get you to the airport (remember, there's one group drop-off, usually around noon). If you've got a later flight, you might need to arrange your own transport - but hey, that's just an excuse for a few more hours of Sri Lankan adventures!
